I wrote this years ago, and never got to share with the person I wrote it for... In hindsight, more then likely a good thing:

Never told you I was a poet
    but times change
and maybe I'm just a little desperate but the words still come

So I put ink to the parchment
So I bring letters like feathers
    Use them, put together
Form a bird to carry you across the sky

Every goodbye, I want to follow with a deep look into those brown eyes.
Deep, bright, they glow with the spark of brilliance.
Whats underside? Curiosity can't help but get me in a bind.

    So more words
    do that I find
    but they never become sound
I can't trust the voice and can't make a choice, because every time I speak it sounds like noise.

    I know my faults,
It scares me to hear you talk
Captivating me with that graceful walk.

    Losing myself in your melody
Singing my dirge to the dark
One with the rushing brook, I always feel like an open book.

Never one for Romance, can't trust the old prose
But I'll attempt to make this poem exempt

See if you can find the author, with in yourself my muse
    Just a Certifiable Anonymous
