    Fantasies

    If only you knew
Your kind words wouldn't be so sweet
    If only you knew
That the person I portray is nothing but deceit
    What would you do?
    My angel image has shattered
But nothing could have prepared me for this
For in the end I only have one wish
And that is that nobody will ever see the real me
    And with this
I will live forever in agonizing bliss*

    Hi Mike,

I'm going to comment here so I can remember my thoughts upon reading this poem. Best that I do this I think, because I have to sadly clear messaging history after it reaches the maximum capacity. I want these memories to remain, not be washed out... because first impressions to me I think are very nostalgic.. Anyways, enough of my rambling!

I take this particular poem as meaning that hiding the "real' you can be hard at times. If so, I can relate so much to that. Either way, I really enjoyed reading this one. I did.. a whole lot.

As most of my poems go, I just kind of started writing thing with no clear meaning in mind. But yeah it's pretty much me not liking the "real" me and I have to hide it all the time to be able to live with myself. Something like that lol

This poem hits home for me. There's a large part of myself that I don't like and I try to hide it from others. It's well written :)
