Fear ever resides in my heart,
    Sweet heart turned black,
The anguish takes form and forms what I take,
In dark I seek what in light I fear
    Desire and freedom conflict together
I wish one thing but forge another
O life lost can you be rebound?

In dark I seek what in light I fear.
    Raging tempest of feeling corrupts
    Tho reality be known fleeting,
    my heart turmoil forever beating.

Cowering in darkness reviled and adored
    seeking truth, morally bored.

In dark I seek what in light I fear
truly consumed am I with self
nothing else matters, even your life itself.

    Now the darkness enables
    the truth twisted, world blighted
the spark of light deep inside
Lay in the heart and soul
    no longer whole.
