I awoke to a shattered dream, Of evils prowl of hope. Crawling out of bed falling on my knees, I felt empty without a soul. Praying to a vanished God, Who for me never had loved. Realizing that life’s a damn fraud, Now my heart pumps only mud. Into the fathoms of the deep, I sink in meaningless peril. Unable to get on my feet, And escape heartaches feral. Drowning in the forgotten abyss, Away from smiles and laughter. Out of reach where spirit can’t exist, Doomed to live out a final chapter.
