It took 9 hours at MhMr but I finally got treatment for my bi-polar disorder. I can see some hope shining through all that confusing fog in my head.

you don't state the meds or your location so it's difficult. Be advised that the mortality rate for bipolar,(I'm a survivor), has risen to 45% from 40% since the NEW drugs. Many doctors have no idea what they are doing. One managed to ruin my life with just one RX of Paxil. Most common SSRI's are not for good for bipolar disorder since we have no serotonin to begin with. My survival-so far-has been the result of my own extensive research on the illness and how to deal with it. NO doctor has exceeded it.
I read world headlines daily of so-called 'bipolar' individuals who commit dreadful crimes. The press confuses bipolar disorder, which is still not understood, with schizophrenia. A completely different illness.
