A renowned Republican strategist and lobbyist has claimed that former president Lyndon B. Johnson set up John F. Kennedy’s assassination, which occurred on November 22, 1963.

Roger Stone, 61, makes the claim in his upcoming book 'The Man who killed Kennedy - the case against LBJ,' which is set to be published in October.

He also writes that Richard Nixon and Johnson had a documented relationship with Jack Ruby, Lee Harvey Oswald’s killer, years before he shot Oswald in the basement of Dallas police headquarters in 1963
    , reports The Daily Caller.

Stone worked for Richard Nixon’s Committee to Re-elect the President in 1972 and later served in the Nixon administration.

He claims that Johnson, a congressman at the time, instructed Richard Nixon, also a congressman at the time, to hire Ruby onto the House of Representatives payroll in 1947.

Stone claims Johnson ‘micro-managed’ Kennedy’s Dallas motorcade, demanding it pass through Dealy Plaza on the afternoon of November 22, 1963, the infamous day when Oswald shot Kennedy from the overlooking book depository building.

‘Nixon knew Jack Ruby, hired him on House payroll in 1947 at request of … Lyndon Johnson. Newly released documents prove it. in my upcoming book “The Man who killed Kennedy- the case against LBJ” Out Oct 1–order yours today,’ Stone wrote on his Facebook page on Thursday.

‘LBJ and Gov. John Connally micro-managed Dalla JFK’s schedule and demanded the route thru Dealy Plaza where the motorcade came to a full stop and LBJ had JFK killed,’ he added.

‘They had no interest in JFK stops in Austin or Houston!'

Stone, now a member of the Libertarian Party, co-wrote his book with Libertarian writer Mike Colapietro.

Ruby, whose real name was Jacob Leon Rubenstein, moved from Chicago to Dallas in 1947, the same year Stone alleges that Nixon put him on the House payroll at Johnson’s request.

Ruby died of a pulmonary embolism on January 3, 1967, a little more than three years after killing Oswald.

Johnson died of a massive heart attack on January 22, 1973.

Nixon died on April 22, 1994, after suffering a severe stroke four days earlier.

Not sure I put a lot of faith in a person that was 11 years old when kennedy was shot having real insider knowledge of circumstance - add that to fact his entire career has been (self admittedly) making up lies to influence politics by deluding uninformed voters and I will not put a lot of faith in the story one way or the other.

What does it matter how young he was in 1963? He was a political insider as an adult in the 70s during Nixon's run, and likely had access to information that would be revealing. It's not the first person to openly say that LBJ was involved, so there is a trend of corroboration that points to LBJ. Johnson himself revealed to people he trusted that he was involved. Whether his evidence is reliable or not is up to the viewer. I think LBJ definitely had his hand in the pie for becoming President.

It wasn't LBJ, it was the Federal Reserve or what they were called before that.
Kennedy planned to help pass an act that would stop the Federal Reserve (a privately run, non-government bank) from being put into existence but he was killed before he could and LBJ stopped the act and passed the Federal Reserve in.
Major presidents through out history have been against a Federal Reserve which has tried time and again to force its way into our country.

A privately run bank that doesn't fall under any government power or control.
Look at money, all money prior to 1963 did not have Federal Reserve Bank Note on it but now every single dollar bill from 1 to 100 does.

What a great way to present evidence... well, at least it sells books. :)

The federal reserve is not privately run , nor ever was it. It was created in 1913, not 1963 by an act of congress and is how Government has controlled monetary policy since 1913.

Age? Becase was 22 and a student when "working with" Niixon as a volunteer on ot th ere-election campaign staff - hardly well placed or high level anything. I doubt that he was privy to secrets that the country had not figured out for a decade in one of the most carefully reviewed parts of US history. 15 years later he was a something - but he was not an aide of any type at all with Nixon - he was a political activist college student volunteer.

What he is now is a former republican that is trying to gain notoriety in the libertarian party and doing his typical things he has always done- create false media for a purpose -

You "story" is the official press release from the publisher trying to sell the book - a very dubious source for determining if the book has any merit at all.

I agree. If this was a method of releasing information for public awareness, perhaps it'd be interesting. But it's more than likely for financial reasons and to gain public attention for some reason. Not exactly the best way of proclaiming you knew something was amiss, maybe he's using as a avenue to air his "dirty" affiliations.

    Zing. Funny timing

The real Federal Reserve is old, older than that.
They've wanted control of the country for a long time now.

The real name of the organization that controls the Fed. reserve and multiple other banks, is the Red Shield.

True, while controversial subjects have always been booksellers, it doesn't necessarily make the claims within the book untrue, especially when there's corroboration from others E. Howard Hunt in a deathbed confession, and Johnson's mistress among others, also implicating LBJ and others in Kennedy's assassination.

Oswald couldn't make Secret Service agents stand down. Oswald couldn't change the motorcade route to have the President exposed to numerous, uninspected open windows, and he couldn't hire his friends to obfuscate the Warren Commission's investigation, and Oswald couldn't authorize evidence from the crime scene be covered up until 2039.
