Frozen in time, frozen in place
Happy carefree times gone without a trace
Should be able to move on, rise above it all
Instead I'm stuck, feeling scared, alone and small

Bewildered, trying to understand what I have done
what I might have said, why am I the only one
to go through this life with so many pulling away
left hurt and alone, words few, nothing to say

The pain is deep, the searching intense to try to understand
why people leave without a word, without a reprimand
that would at least explain why, give a reason
Are some friends only for a season?

Like a statue cast in stone
    impenetrable, isolated, cold and alone
I wish I could break free snap out of this state I'm in
find a new way, new hope, new way to begin

Circumstances a prison without a key
no one to care, to visit, to help me
No cure, no hope, pain a constant companion, a guard
to keep from escape, from freedom, thoughts marred

Like living in a glass house, the pain of longing to be outside
life restricted limited to only that that remains inside
Resources used no sign of aid or being replenished
Stuck in this state of muck & mire, hurt & anguished

Could that be why people have pulled and walked away
So wish I could understand, what did I do or say
that was wrong... Need to toughen up, not care
Instead am frozen in fear with no one there...

So beautifully written hun wow i am there beside you ok just know you are not alone and yes hun there is a poem that was written to me that states just that friends are for a season or for a specific reason then are gone I know that sadness hun and it hurts. I will try to find the poem and send it to you hugs

    Reason Season Lifetime
People always come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime.
When you figure out which it is, you know exactly what to do.
When someone is in your life for a REASON,
It is usually to meet a need you have expressed outwardly or inwardly.
They have come to assist you through a difficulty,
Or to provide you with guidance and support,
To aid you physically, emotionally, or even spiritually.
They may seem like a godsend to you, and they are.
They are there for the reason you need them to be.
Then, without any wrong doing on your part or at an inconvenient time,
This person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.
Sometimes they die. Sometimes they just walk away.
Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.
What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled; their work is done.
The prayer you sent up has been answered and it is now time to move on.
When people come into your life for a SEASON,
It is because your turn has come to share, grow, or learn.
They may bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh.
They may teach you something you have never done.
They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy.
Believe it! It is real! But, only for a season.
And like Spring turns to Summer and Summer to Fall,
    The season eventually ends.
    LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons;
Those things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation.
    Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person anyway;
And put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas in your life.
It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.
Thank you for being part of my life,
Whether you were a reason, a season or a lifetime.
