I saw a counselor recently through my EAP and he suggested strattera(an adhd med). I'm seriously considering going to a doctor and asking about it but I'm no longer seeing the counselor. Is it possible to get meds prescribed without having a therapist/counselor the doctor can talk to(if he needs to)?
And where do I even go? A walk-in clinic? I don't have a family doctor and never stayed long enough in one place to work on that 10+ year relationship with anyone from the medical field.
