  1. Hate is unfounded
    Zeal is misplaced
    In spite of my warnings
    Cease not you to haste

    Death you unleashed
    Horror quite nameless
    In spite of your fault
    You hold yourselves blameless

    Justified and holy
    Truthful and pure
    In all of your dealings
    You are but a lure

    For an enemy nameless
    Forever and dark
    Stretching across time
    Intent on its mark

    You left behind teachings
    Poetry, text
    Never you considered
    What might come next

    Sent to Defend
    Of what, we don't know
    Vanished to mystery
As the Winds of Time blow

Just a poem that I felt like writing after my Uncle died form wounds recieved in Iraq.
