Having chronic undiagnosed intestinal issues is just awful

I am on my feet for hours at work, and having to use the bathroom for urgent diarrhea 3 plus times a day is so disruptive. What's worse is that I have to return to the bathroom to wipe due to liquid anal seepage, sometimes containing blood. The even worse part about this is my shitty retail job is the best I can do right now because of these issues. I can head to the bathroom whenever I flare up.
I am seeing a GI doctor for these issues but I won't get any answers until I have a colonoscopy done which is about a month from now. A procedure that will eat into my finances.

@JCC988 I can sympathize. I have a very difficult time going. Sometimes need to take a laxative to be productive. Lots of gut pain. Lots of seepage that I wear protection for when I leave the house. It makes it difficult to try and go anywhere. My gastro just tells me to eat more fiber. Have never found a gastro I liked or who was helpful. I hope you have much better luck.

To clean your intestines from A to Z ( do not go far from the toilet) take Magnesium Hydrochloride 4 hours after the last meal. Afterwards for 3 hours or so - nothing is left inside. I mean nothing. Just try to make a pause of 3 days, - only water (a lot).
Then eat healthy (salad, fruits, nuts). You will see the difference. It helped me. I hope you can survive the month.

Except my guts don't need to be cleansed. They just need to slow down. My problem isn't constipation but frequent diarrhea. A cleansing agent would only worsen my problems.

i understand what you are going through. my GI Dr gave me a medication for IBS, however, it only stopped my bowels completely which proved that's not the issues and made things even more horrible. The Drs later discovered i have EPI exocrine pancreatic insufficiency. It's worth asking about. It was an easy test, bloodwork and stool samples. Once i received the medication to help me digest my foods, it's made my life loads better. Now... i still cannot eat within 4 hours before i go to work, or while at work. i'll eat after i get home so i'm near the restroom. However, this is loads better than before, and i can have more control on when i need to use the restroom.

i do hope you get some sort of answers. i just stopped seeing a GI because they shrugged their shoulders saying "I duno what's wrong with you." Took me many yrs and prompts from my hematologist to go see another Dr. Stopping was not the answer, although frustrated. Don't give up. Keep at it until you find some sort of answer. In the meantime, possibly try yogurt a couple times a day to help return your gut bacteria back to a more normal state.

I’m having bad stomach issues at the moment so I can sympathise with you. It’s awful. And I’ve had embarrassing accidents. My bloods and stool sample are clear so they just think it’s IBS.

You dont have to listen to this advice if it's found irrelevant to you. But I've had gallstones that cause diahrrea and once I was back on a med it stopped the problems. You can look it up. It is prescribed in low doses for diahrrea although I know your reasons for it are different. I hope you get help and a diagnosis. The medication is Amitriptyline. It's used at low doses for migraines, sleep, neuropathy, and depression. Its cheap as well. I use a higher dose now because of my depression. Google it if you would like to. Best to you.

As someone with IBS its no joke the Doc gave me pills ages back for it but I still get it from time to time but it always feels like someone has a knife in my guts

I jump from Dioreha to being blocked up now and have a massive issue with my blader to where I need to use the bathroom within an hour of drinking anything

I relate. IBS can move from D to C and it is so distressing.

I don't know if this helps but in my case IBS is stress based so the better I am doing mentally the less the IBS symptoms.

I hope you find some relief.
