If you do get one, go for an expensive one. I tried a cheap one, and I regret it. Couldn't see a thing. Basically a waste of money.

My dad had one that was pretty decent but I never got the chance to use it. How much £££ we talking?

Not exactly sure what price would be good, but I know that the $60-$100 ones aren't worth getting at all. Which leads me to believe that the ones in the $500 range are probably decent, and the best ones are $1000+.

I agree with @Aurelia on getting one that is well received by people that actually have and rate them. Mine is a Celestron Nexstar 127 SLT so it is computerized. Year ago they were about $500 and now closer to $700.

I like that it is light enough to grab and go for star parties locally here. Good binoculars are very handy especially for sky scanning and Moon viewing.

Possibly in order if i did it correctly...
~The last full moon... i think it was called a beaver moon.
~The last of the colors before the cold snap hit.
~The summer night sky... the vastness with the moon and stars... extremely comforting to me.
~Moving water has a calming effect over me like nothing else matters. Spring runoff in the mountains has loads of force and a wildness to it... and yet still quite calming.
~A look-see through the trees at the beautiful sky. Was an amazing day in the mountains in the spring.
