Hello. My health has not been good since March. My IBS.. Irritable Bowel Syndrome has been bothering. Prescribed meds by doc not working. Taking herbal meds since mid- April. They are working, but slowly. Because of chronic IBS I am suicidal. I already have two methods but they won't guarantee certain death.

I have this other than medicine, you to have say this to yourself in times will your physical health is failing to just know that you are loved here with unconditional love and also I say this at my worst times when I feel like giving up I say "Not now" to get me through. We have to hold on for something or someone if it not someone then it is for ousrselves but in all of that we will be there with you forever *hug

I have already seen one GI doc. He didn't properly listen to me. Just gave meds and brushed me away. The present GI doc is better but not ideal. He is a senior doc. Will meet him in few days.

Sounds like you could use a few (or two!) new doctors 🥼 then. . . (Hopefully, these would not be mutually exclusive-)> ;^) id start - is they are - with the one that is most pressing at the moment // urgent, what have you . . . As well as potentially thinking about, or taking into consideration the availability: in other words, time & speed of efficiency in terms of getting in & scheduling a new appt. as a new patient. So, ideally , and this is assuming this new gi specialist isn’t one you haven’t seen befor e (the old guy); if it or he is, then maybe give him a chance first to see if he can address this matter with the condition/ailment. . . But you definitely need a new GP/PCP (regular doc!) if this ones meds aren’t working effectiveLy; or at all- & is unwilling to do anything about it (therefore putting the onus on you)... then that is where I would begin, as they can be the advocate for you to seek out better / more advanced treatment though the aid of specialists (& maybe the reason their not helping you - the drugs - & such is that they would be better off handled by someone else). . .

i'm sorry that you are still suffering. any recurring health condition will hurt you emotionally. you feel like why bother living if it can't get better. but life is worth living if you can find those reasons, your kids to mention one. and i have said before you have to take charge of your own health. if your doctor won't listen to you then you may have to keep looking for a doctor that cares about you. as @MisterBGone has mentioned try a 2nd 3rd 4th etc. until you are satisfied. i have a great doctor that listens to me but once in a while i have to make him understand. i hope you feel better soon...mike...*hug*console*shake

IBS is not fun by any means, but it’s not a reason to want to die. I understand you are suffering, but you should give your body more time. You’re in my thoughts and prayers.

@MarvelFan . Thank you and others who have replied to my post. I am again unwell today. There is no support for me. Me and my wife are separated and my kids stay with her. I don't know how much longer can I continue like this before I end it.

Good luck with your appointment in a few days time and make sure to tell the doctor just how badly the IBS is affecting you, physically and mentally and hopefully he will take you more seriously then, be brutally honest and don't hold back or write it down if you feel it will be better that way, either way I hope it helps and keep us updated.

@GMody I am so truely sorry for your dilemma with your wife and kids. I have had many so called wives or gfs in my life and I would love to have a child with a woman that loves me but I am not sure that is meant in the cards for me since I am 42 and since I had so much trauma in my life that I cant take care of even me but I can only say this your kids are a blessing I dont care what anyone says.

I envy you that you push forward so hard and all I can say is "keep pushing forward" because that is all we have I know its hard but keep going because your kids are your silver and gold just remember that and you are their parent and are a part of them and nothing can change that *hug
