I've got my fingers tangled in your hair
    and my other hand
holding the towel rack for balance
    and I wish I knew
how to untangle myself from you.
    As much as I'd miss
doing something odd and having you understand
or watching you doing something odd
    and understanding
or seeing that odd little way you have
    of tilting your head and
rolling back your eyes when you sleep
As much as I'd miss all of that
all the things you've represented to me
    first loves and old friends
    I can't keep doing this
    and I'm not gonna miss
    wrestling away your keys
or watching you hack your lungs out
    in a pale smoke
    or hiding your keyring
once I get them from you.
    But I need you too
    different than you need me
    but just the same.
    I'm an addict
    and you're my fix
of the odd and the out there
    and the familiar
and I feel broke without my fix
so I'm just gonna stay here
    watching you heave.

I really like your poem. I too am addicted to a certain person in my life....time away from them, makes it easier though...
