Born a man but still a child
With eyes if green and hair quite wild
Grew a pair of, Legs and feet
A spine came soon, And thence did she

Quick as thought, the years did turn,
‘Til I, myself, had come of age,
My body burned with fevered rage,
While youth’s impatience seared my veins

It seared and burnt hot white hot red
An electric current running through me
Linking up to charge my head
To make the end come running to me

Heart of iron bones of steel
Skin of paper, legs of grass
Lost all will to speak and feel
Shatter me i'll break like glass

If I feel the need to smoke and drink and swear
It's my problem if i have to hide
    If i've got no friends
And feel the need to die

    Calm acceptance filled my
    Aged heart; for long ago,
I’d lost all fear of Death’s embrace,
The last embrace a man will know.
