i am sorry for starting a new thread .. its actually really late/early here (3AMish) ... i actually dont come on here often .. but things typically stay the same with me ... nothing really changes everyday is the same eventhough i might not be asking for help or whatever .. i am a 26 year old female who is currently married ... ive been suicidally depressed for 15 years and treatment hasnt helped me (meds, therapy, hospitalization, natural remedies and habit changes, etc) ... i guess things are always tough .. but now its kinda tough with the husband now that he wants to kick me out because i cant work (he wants me to get a job before the middle of April) .. i applied for disability a couple days ago but i dont even know if i will qualify or how long the results will take to get back .. i dont want to be talked out of suicide i am just buying myself more then 1 week or so ... you probably dont really want to hear too much of my drama story ...

hi there first off and welcome to the forum here. we're glad you're here, and please feel free to share as much or as little as you would like. it's your call, and we do listen.

i just got to say i battled depression since i was five years old. that was the first time i tried to take my own life with a gun too. i hear you when you say you have been working on this a long time and have tried a lot of things. i would like to encourage you not to give up. it's been strictly my experience that with time things begin to come together, and will get better. it's a long road for sure, but persistence is key. i am on disability. have you had many hospitalizations? just curious...

when one applies for disability they are always denied the first time. so please be aware of this. then you have to appeal it. for some it takes a few appeals before they get it. i personally got an attorney who collects only when i did, and i believe this helped speed things up for me because i only had to appeal once then i got it

anyways, i've been in your shoes. if you would like to continue to share i will be on for a little while still and would love to help if i can. if you don't want to share anymore i certainly understand this too. please take care and i look forward to seeing you around the forum.

Hello welcome to the forums!! It helps if you get a letter from your pdoc describing your illness and what meds you are on.. Thats what I did and I got my SSI in six months..The good part is they pay you all the way back to day one when you first applied..If they deny you then get an attorney who specialises in this and they will take there fee out of the back money you will get..I wish you luck..
P.S. They will send you to see there shrink and regular doctor so take a copy of that letter with you..

I am not going to say that I understand because I dont think anyone understands how someone else truely feels. We all share one thing in common on here though...that we all, orhave been, feeling suicidal. We are all here for each other and we all want to support each other. You included.

I want to hear about your " drama story" as you say. 15 years is a long time to feel like this....this is one thing I can understand as I have lived like this for 15 years. I want to say that we are all here for you and I hope that we can help you through more than just a week.

Here if you want to talk. Welcome to SF.

I can definately relate to a lot of your story. It's not drama it's what you are going through and that is important. I'm here if you want to talk, share or just vent. I know I need to and that is partly why I am here!!! Thanks,
