My friend recently told me that she has been anorexic for a few months now. I didn't know what to say back to her other than "well here, eat something".. Which I soon realized was the wrong thing to say.

I've struggled with depression and my weight, (140lbs at 5ft 7in) but my mind has kept me away from eating disorders myself.

How can I help my friend? What are some things that are right or wrong to say?

There's really not a lot you can *say* that will make a huge difference. You're best off being as supportive as you can through your options and being there if she needs any help.

It's really grfeat that you're trying to help. You sound slike a good friend
