Ok I used to self harm (God, I hate that word)...anyway, I ve moved on - I want to forget about it and leave it behond. But the point is I burnt myself with an iron and I have loads of really obvious scars on my arm. How do I get rid of them? I thought of make up but I am going on hol in a few months, that means swimming which means make up will wash off. I also thought of those scar removal creams, but at £39.99 I cant afford it - my bank account is literally almost empty.
Any suggestions? Could I get the cream on prescription??? And would my GP have to document it - cause I work in the health care profession and that d totally mess up my career.

Check out the self harm forum. They have a thread all about scars. You will probably get more advice from the members that regualrly visit that forum. Good luck.
