I’m fixing a rusted folding table. Currently I put paint stripper on it and am trying to sand paper out the rust.

I just don’t know.

if anyone had any advice please let me know. I’m scared I’m about to get lead poisoning and die from noxious fumes.

Idk, depending on the cost of a replacement, it might not be worth the effort. These kind of repair jobs are mostly the sort of thing that are worthwhile if you're really into doing them.

There may be some handyman publications that would have tips on this.
