i am going on a retreat with the rest of our school tomorrow. i am depressed, and i don't know how to pretend that i'm not. does anyone have any advice on how to hide this depression from the entire student body? anything to make me temporarily happy for a weekend? is there something that helps you pretend that everything is normal? please help! i'm running out of time!

what i do is i just listen to really happy songs on my ipod in the morning on the way to school and that brightens me up for a while, then just listen to them during the day when you feel low

Make sure you give yourself time alone.

thanks you guys. we're leaving this morning, so i was kind of anxious, but i am counting on adrenaline to get me going at least this morning and the excitement of going to a reatreat. after that i will try the music thing. and i'm going to be sharing a room, but i'm sure that i will get time alone. if all else fails, i will just go to the bathroom and sit in there for a while. you can always be alone in there :)
