My daughters best friend just called her last night to tell her her mom committed suicide... while the kids were in the house. Daughter's friend held her mom in her arms as she died. WOW.
Can anyone give me some advice for my daughter on how to handle/support her best friend in the coming months? Things to say, not to say. They are only 16 and I know it is going to be an incredibly tough and emotional time. thanks.

I'm sorry to hear that your daughter's friend's mother committed suicide and over the holidays too. Your daughter's friend will definitely need support, or else she too could become depressed and possibly suicidal. Just be there for her when she needs a friend. You might want to tell her about SF too.
