  1. Helpless

    I can’t help it
    Yes, I am helpless
    Every morning
I wake to the nightmare of my life,
and the way I can’t help seeing it through my eyes,
    blighted, blinded, without sight
    They’ve seen too much
    and I’m out of touch
with anything that once was good
    I can’t help it,
    I’m lost
    Every moment
I’m aware my life is meaningless
No more moments granting grace nor rest
    Perspective gone
    It’s hard to move on
I, aware, of things in the world
    I cannot join
because my soul has been crippled
    I can’t help it
    I feel like a feather
    floating on the sea ~
    No direction and no choice
And what there’s left of me
sustains itself in psychic and spiritual agony
    Marveling at
    how bitter, and endless,
this Dark Night of the Soul can be…

Yes, there are many ways to describe pain... and you're a champion of all those ways!! Like all your works, I love the work:smile: but hate the feelings that precipitated it!
