New Years eve is the day the woman who adopted me died.
I know how lucky i was that i did not spend years in a home like so many in the late sixties and nineteen seventies.
She died almost alone, i was there but none of her friends, for she had none.
What goes around comes around, there is no avoiding that.
I think that she is at peace now, i forgive her for her coldness and blind eye, only the dementia seemed to finally soften her face.
If there is somekind of existence after we turn to dust, then i hope that she has arms around her.
Thank you for choosing me, i hope he is with you.

I am glad that you forgave her - that takes a lot of self-awareness. I hope she is at peace.
