i hope this site helps, even if it just gives me someone to talk to. i signed up for it during a real bad depressive 'episode', after i called a hotline. even if writing out these posts distracts me for a bit, then this site helped me get through something rough (see my post in the crisis section).

anyways, i've been thinking about seeking counseling for a while now, but tonight was/is the tipping point... anyone here have experience with college counselors? or even psychiatrists? i'd prefer a psychiatrist but i'm on my parents insurance and don't want them to find out (and i doubt i have the cash flow to pay for sessions myself).
