My writting skills are really terrible ever since i stopped writting. So please- suggestions for improvement would be gladly appreciated :) What am i lacking? What different techniques could I use? A particular poet i can study? Thanks a bunch.

My father gave me this blood
What am I going to do with it
My mother birthed me this bone
How am I going to use it-

    Throw it to the dogs.
I built a house of clouds
    Where my tears could swim,
    With a room of glass,
    Melted in moon’s milk
Her eyes turn up to see the creamy white sky part above her
Right Eye Attentive, Curious and chocolate brown,

we all bare our buried secret, deep inside
our childhood dream- cracked and left

    Now we awaken
Step outside and see our blood
    Beneath our feet
    What happened as we slept?
another poem i don't really like:

    I feel small
Cool moist air and the smell of rain yet to come
    Hovers above me now
And the wind shouts down just to touch me
The clouds low static just to embrace my warmth
    Thunder crack and purr.
    I walk on.
    walk on.
    Dizzying birds.
I want to be the color red, not always waiting for an embrace
Not the blender, the subtle line between two colors.
    Not “shhh, it’s bell blue,”
    And walk on.
Not another coma kid, not fighting for it.
Just the quiet hum, many feet above
Of the first few raindrops birthed into
    A bright grey, nebulatic sea.

Suggestions? Constructive Critisism? Ideas? -thank you :)

I like these very much. *nods*

You want to know what to do to be a "better" writer? Seems to me you're well on your way! You use wonderful imagery and interesting ideas (thunder purring - I love it!), you are intuitive and insightful. Who and what can you read - everyone and everything. It all goes into your brain and gets processed for future reference - "gee, I love that author's style, but don't like this one's..."

Also, just keep writing. Doesn't matter if it's your best or not, just doing it keeps the skills sharpened. And I really do think you are already a good writer!

I think they're really nice
I'm not much of a poet myself though, so I can't really give you any advice

You can read as much contemporary poetry (from your country especially) as you can, and then you can practice practice practice, meaning write until you re sick of it, and then write some more :D
I also like your poems, seems like you re almost there. :)

    good luck!
