How much sleep do you need?

    Simply, how much sleep do you need per night to feel comfortable the next day, when healthy?

    I need 8.5 hours

    ...Um... This was poorly planned out. If you need 6 hours, put 6-8, how about. So the lower bound is inclusive but the upper bound is not.

    2- as i normally sleep a little over 2hours, bt thats every other day

    I need 12+ hours of sleep. I never do get it though. sometimes...

  4. Sleep deprivation is directly linked to depression. So I'm guessing most people here do not get enough or even the most least amount of sleep needed. As for me, I need about 8-9 hours. and I only get 5-7 a night. I used to be able to function fine with that amount, but now it's catching up with me.

    when healthy i dunno 12 hours?

    I generally seem to function fine on 2-4 hours. I have been doing that for so long I am not sure what I would do if I slept more than that.

    I probably need about 8, but I get and do fine on 2-6 dpending on the night.

    I usually need 8-10 hours sleep, any less than that and im unable to function.

    I normally need about 6-8 hours, but I can function fine on 2-3 hours for one night - the next night though, I need to sleep normally..

    I need 8-9 hours when healthy. I am only getting 2-5 hours a night if I get any sleep at all these days.

    I'm super healthy and I only get between 4-6 hours of sleep per night. And during that time, I usually wake up and go back to sleep. If I get tired during the day, I'll take a nap, but usually I'm ok.

    I can function semi ok on 2. Although i do feel a bit like a zombie. But i normally get about 4 hours and that serves me fine. Although i tend to catch up on the weekend and have lie ins

    Need 8-10 but often sleep 10+.

    You're supposed to sleep more in the Winter months and less in Summer, or so I've heard.

    You should probably see a doctor. This is likely a sign of something very wrong with your sleep - perhaps sleep apnea.
