i don't have an eating disorder, but my parents think i do...

  1. i don't eat, usually...

    i don't know why, i just don't feel hungry most of the time.

    my mum and dad yell at me for not eating.

    i can't help it if i'm not hungry though can i?!? :mad:

    they've threatened to have me taken to an eating disorder clinic, i don't want to go there!

    but i can't eat either, i don't get hungry!

    what do i do??

    You can't help not being hungry but you do need good nutrition to be healthy. Do you know why you're not hungry? Because of the forum this is, I'm assuming you might be depressed in some way and things like that can really change people's appetite. Some people comfort eat and put on weight when they are depressed, but other people just lose all interest in food.

    It'd be a good idea to see a doctor/nutritionist about it if you're not eating, whatever the cause may be.

    I agree with Chickpea. It is a good idea to find out if some medical reason is to blame for your lack of hunger.

    Just eat something little, like a peanut butter sandwhich or something. Then you have protein, which keeps you not hungry and gives you long-term energy, and carbs, which give you short-term energy.
