I forget normal is like

#1
I have been suicidal for the last 3 years. Beginning to think I have forgotten what normal is. meds are not the answer to my ptsd, ocd, etc. I am in intense ocd therapy. It is very tough every day to live like this....wishing you just would not wake up...

Sorry to hear that. I know how suicidal thoughts can be relentless. Saps you of the energy. You are courageous. Have you tried hypnotherapy? It works on the subconscious. You can give it a try. Many people have benefitted. You can either do it in person with a hypnotherapist or hear recordings at your home. Try to find a hypnotherapist in your area.

Hello, @Hatingmyselfdaily I'm so sorry that you are still suffering, how long have you been in this specific therapy?

I don't think medicine will help your situation, only cloud over it once the anti anxiety meds have worn off.

I hate to see you suffering for so long, obviously I know your story, you need to forgive yourself and start enjoying your golden years with your new granddaughter and loving family.

If therapy is not helping, I'd suggest changing it until you find one that makes some sort of difference because you do not deserve this suffering and torture your mind is going through.

As you know SF is always here for you *hug

Hi...thank you. I have only been working with an ocd specialist for a few weeks. i am doing erp exposures....it’s painful. I also suffer from an autoimmune disease that is slowly destroying me. Most days I feel like it is only a matter of time. Short of an anti psychotic, though I may have tried one, I have tried everything......and I mean everything...it’s hopeless

Hi again, there is always hope. Personally I think you need, a specialised trauma therapist, they will know what they are dealing with once you tell them your story, then ye can start working on recovery. I know you have a wonderful family and you really want to enjoy and embrace in your golden years - just not like this.

I believe trauma therapy is the answer. Not medication. Sorry to hear about the auto immune disease, I know you are going through a lot but do not be too hard on yourself.

Stick with the therapy you are currently doing, if that makes zilch of a difference, trauma therapy is the route to go down for sure.

We're all here rooting for you *hug

Well done for working on ER P, I wish I could make some headway with my OCD. I hope it works out for you and overcome some of your OCD.
