    I was a good kid,
I wouldn't do you no harm,
    I was a nice kid,
    With a nice paper round
    Forgive me any pain,
I may have brung to ya,
    With God's help I know,
I'll always be near to ya

    But Jesus hurt me,
    When he deserted me,
    but, I have forgiven Jesus
    For all the desire,
    You placed in me
when there's nothing I can do with this desire

    I was a good kid,
    Through hail and snow,
I'd go just to moon you,
I carried my heart in my hand
    Do you understand,
    Do you understand?

    But Jesus hurt me,
    When he deserted me,
    but, I have forgiven Jesus
    For all of the love,
    You placed in me
when there's no one I can turn
    to with this love

    Monday - humiliation,
    Tuesday - suffocation,
    Wednesday - condescension,
    Thursday - is pathetic
By Friday life has killed me,
By Friday life has killed me,
Oh pretty one, Oh pretty one

Why did you give me so much desire,
when there is nowhere I can go to offload this desire?
And why did you give me so much love
    in a loveless world,
when there's no one I can turn to
    to unlock all this love?
And why did you stick me in
    self deprecating bones and skin?,
    Jesus do you hate me?
Why did you stick me in
    self deprecating bones and skin?
    Do you hate me?,
    Do you hate me?
    Do you hate me?
    Do you hate me?
    Do you hate me?

    God forgives Jesus.

    Morrissey the great.

The most literate man ever to pen a pop song.

I just found out tonight that I'm off to see him on 8th Dec, courtesy of my wonderful sister.

    Take me out tonight
Where there's music and there's people
    And they're young and alive
    Driving in your car
I never never want to go home
    Because I haven't got one
    Anymore

    Take me out tonight
Because I want to see people and I
    Want to see life
    Driving in your car
Oh, please don't drop me home
Because it's not my home, it's their
Home, and I'm welcome no more

    And if a double-decker bus
    Crashes into us
    To die by your side
Is such a heavenly way to die
    And if a ten-ton truck
    Kills the both of us
    To die by your side
Well, the pleasure - the privilege is mine

    Take me out tonight
Take me anywhere, I don't care
    I don't care, I don't care
    And in the darkened underpass
I thought Oh God, my chance has come at last
(But then a strange fear gripped me and I
    Just couldn't ask)

    Take me out tonight
Oh, take me anywhere, I don't care
    I don't care, I don't care
    Driving in your car
I never never want to go home
    Because I haven't got one, da ...
    Oh, I haven't got one

    And if a double-decker bus
    Crashes into us
    To die by your side
Is such a heavenly way to die
    And if a ten-ton truck
    Kills the both of us
    To die by your side
Well, the pleasure - the privilege is mine

Oh, There Is A Light And It Never Goes Out
There Is A Light And It Never Goes Out
There Is A Light And It Never Goes Out
There Is A Light And It Never Goes Out
There Is A Light And It Never Goes Out
There Is A Light And It Never Goes Out
There Is A Light And It Never Goes Out
There Is A Light And It Never Goes Out
There Is A Light And It Never Goes Out

There is a light that never goes out is probably my favourite morrissey track. reading those lyrics back unites us in the church of Morrissey, and I love you for it, whoever you are:wink:

    Ah!

The Smiths may have saved my life.

    I adore Morrissey.

But how time passes. I saw the Smiths in 1985.

    Over 20 years ago. Ugh.

I was three in '85. Sorry, I don't mean to make you feel bad :eek:ld: just to show that Morrisseys contribution to music has spanned a long time, give the man a knighthood! yet, I think he's too anti-establishment to accept it

Really? He died for you, to offer a blood sacrifice for your sins. He bore the punishment of your sins by going to hell on the Cross. But you can't forgive HIM? My head is spinning.

  9. hmm. Well, I don't blame God for the problems of this world. I blame the people who disgrace this world in the name of God.

I couldn't have said it better. Broken Product, I apologize if I seemed insensitive with my previous post. I don't like hypocrits anymore than you do. I went into a self-protective defense mode when I read "cannot forgive Jesus" without stopping to think there are people hurting so much that they actually blame Him for whatever they are going thru. I have done the same thing at times. He loves us even then. He said His power is made perfect through our weakness. Again, I'm sorry.
