Hello @ronnyviz,

I was just wondering if you're getting any professional help for this? In the form of therapy (psychologist), or medication (psychiatrist)? Of course, a regular doctor (GP/PCP) may be able to handle and address your needs, too - up until a certain point, at which they would then potentially be best in referring you to one of these other places, or services (for more advanced / expertise, & treatment!).

Those conditions are a beast to deal with on one's own: that said, every case is not the same. So, please feel free to ask any questions you might have, though just keep in mind, a vast majority of us - are not that/or, so much different from your-self. . .

Sincerely, @MisterBGone

MisterBgone and all others who ready thread I want to add some context.
I work as s security guard but I hate that job.
I hate all jobs, every job is a nightmare to me.
I hate the very concept of a job.
Something you have to do in order to survive.
I wouldn't say I am depressed.
Because it's all about the conditions in my case.
What I mean by that is that if I suddenly becane rich( for examplen if I won lottery) and had millions and never had to work I'd be the happiest man alive right now and would want to live to 200.

But because I am not rich I am forced to work.
So my desire to end my life is all about my condition.
As I guess is the case with many other people.

I understand... Even though you don't consider yourself to be depressed, or suffering from depression - if you've got anxiety, or an anxiety disorder that is so bad, or at the level with which you'd just as soon / or prefer it, if you were able to, "Leave this Earth?" Then wouldn't that quite possibly be, something worth checking-out? Or looking into -- in regards, the more professional help? Of course, this is all just my opinion. And that doesn't mean that it's the right one. I'd just think that, if you at least gave it a go, you could see if it helps how you're feeling & thinking, in some respects, about your Life & work, etc. Lots of people would love to "retire," Young (or at a 'Young Age,' relatively speaking). . . that said, if you go up to any Nursing Home, or Assisted Living Facility (or even before they're at the stage where they're ready for that!) - & ask, or interview them: a little bit about what it's like "Getting/or growing," Older --I think what you'll find, is that the general consensus, is (health-wise/or due to health - reasons) that 'It Ain't All That Great!!' Or so I've been told, countless times. . . Anyways, best wishes!

Im also a security guard and 39 Years old. I only can work 2 days a week because of my health problems. I hate my job too , so understand your pain. How old are you? Is it possible to study something that will make you more money or at least a job that you'll like?

Sorry that you're going through this @ronnyviz

Is there something about your current job that you hate more than other parts? Do you hate the work itself, the pay, coworkers, management?
Hi.
It's low pay and the job itself, having to argue with people all the time.
It's stressful.
But again from my experience every job is stressful from a security guard to doctor, lawyer, ceo and so on.
Eveey job in my opinion involves stress and unplesantness.
Beacuse you are dealing with people and people are annoying and unpleasant in my experience.

I wish I had enough money to never work.
I should have bought some bitcoin 10 years ago. Then I wouldn't have to work today and my life would not have any stress and I would be happy and not suicidal.

Hey there, I also have terrible anxiety. Have you considered getting anti anxiety medication from your doctor or seeing a counselor for your anxiety. There are lots of treatments for anxiety.

I'm sorry to hear of how stressful your job is, it must take an awful toll on your ability to handle your anxiety, exacerbate it and cause excess stressors.

Please see someone, you don't deserve to be feeling this way, no-one should be, please keep reaching out, as you can see you are far from alone and here on SF you will find compassion and understand. Sending you well wishes.

By help do you mean medications?
Are you taking some and have they helped you ?

Yes, I do. Diazepam helps me a lot, there are many, many medications for anxiety but be careful as some can be habit forming. There's a wide range of benzodiazepine medications such as Klonopin, Lexotan, Ativan and others that could potentially help you. I would not get through the day without anti anxiety medication.

Some anti depressants also help anxiety such as Zoloft (I'm on that too), Lexapro, Citalopram, Prozac, Mirtazapine, there are plenty of others too but those would be the most prescribed. I'm also doing phone therapy which helps a lot. Having someone to air your true thoughts with without fear of judgment helps significantly.

I think you should definitely give either of them or both of them a try, they could have a great impact on your quality of life and dealing with constant anxiety.

Exercise, meditation, mindfulness can be a great help too. Please don't suffer in silence. See your primary doctor and go from there, keep talking to us too. :)

Apart from meds, there are therapies which can help you to enjoy life by letting go of stress and anxiety. Cognitive behavioural therapy, for instance, can teach you how to stop your mind running on automatic pilot by helping you identify and change ingrained thought patterns that cause anxiety and depression. Mindfulness meditation is also a very effective technique of calming the mind and bringing more happiness and peace into life. Don't give up yet, just because you feel like this now doesn't mean you always will.
