I've been on Lexapro for almost a month now. Will the medicine, in fact, increase my thoughts of cutting? I've been clean of cutting since the middle of March, but I find myself wanting to do it more and more. I'm not afraid that I will, because at this point I couldn't care less whether or not I start cutting again. Frankly, I would love nothing more than to fall into that again.

i can tell you it is not as healing as one thinks and yes sometimes the medication can increase feelings of self harm You need to call your doctor and tell them abt your increase thoughts okay maybe medication needs to be changed Don't start again okay god just don't

  3. I had this friend that used to cut herself...it was horrable.:sigh:

    I'm glad she stopped...

You should try to stop too. Talk to a doctor if you need to for some help.

I was on Lexapro for a while and didn't feel too much of an effect. If you're still having thoughts, talk to your prescriber and get on something else! it's much better than having to explain cuts to people; trust me.
