I know that in about another 5 days to a week my PMS symptoms will begin again, first the headaches, then the feeling sick, then everything else.

Most months I am restricted to bread and orange squash, I can't eat anything with any strong taste because it makes my feeling sick symptoms worse. I can't even drink water. I have been through this alot on here I know, but it is the blight of everything I do. I have even started to have to prepair for the weeks I am so ill during the days I am not, all I ever think about now is pain.

I would give up anything never to have another period again (without having to take more hormones) but I only know one way I could ever do this........

can you not have your womb removed?

Funny you should say that because full hystorectomy (removal of the womb and ovaries) is the only known long term cure for symptoms like mine.

I can't see a doctor doing it though, even though I can prove I would never be able to raise a child, I could do this for certain.
I still don't think they would do it on a 22 year old. When it's done for severe PMS/PMDD the main component for causing the hell is the ovaries, they release the hormones that some women are intolorent too.

Please people don't flame the person who said this because I would give up anything for it to happen.

i know yoi'd lose you chance of having a child but if its affecting your chance of happiness its your only chance. its your own choice so they should do it surly? what about private?

and you can always adopt if you do want children. your probably so depressed you dont want kids or dont feel you can riase but maybe if your free of the pain you may feel you can offer something.

There's no way I could afford private, and all NHS doctors want to do is prescribe more pills, they are famous for that.

It is hard for me to imagine them refusing to help you in this day and age. Especially since you are not in a third world country. Have they done a laparascopy to see where the problems initiates and the cause? If the pain is as intense as you say it is, they should be providing with other options. I am sorry i am really of no help to you. I can only empathize with the pain you are suffering.

I think that you just need to tell your doctors that you have made your decision, and you are completely sure about it, and they must do waht you want, because its your life. I dont know, maybe you should try another doctor.

    I sorta gotta run...but I thought maybe you'd find this informative/possibly helpful...

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oophorectomy

I couldn't find much at all about hormone suppression (that is, simply having your "tubes tied" might not cut it as far as your terrible symptoms go). If you must have your ovaries removed - I think that would do it (and it is indeed, as you said, the "last-resort", but effective in cases such as yours).

I wish I had an easier, less invasive solution for you...
