He died like 12 years ago when I was 10, I did not really understand it all and I just bottled it up inside, I was not even sad when he died, just shocked. I quess that was around the time I stopped showing any sadness around people.

I wish he could be here helping me through all these years, he was the best...
I wish he could be here helping my mother...

(No, MY dad was the best) Sorry you lost your dad, at so young an age... There's nothing I can say except maybe I understand the feeling too... do you ever talk to people about how fab your dad was?

No, even just thinking about him makes me choked up, I would end up crying if I talked about him! Sure it might be good to "let it all out", but I have made a habit of not following my own advice.

There are no words to describe that kind of loss. Today marks 14 years ago I lost my grandpa, he was like my dad. Only thing I can say for something like this that is universally true... it sucks.

I'm sorry for your loss. I don't know what else to say, but it's nice that this forum is here, and the people are so supportive. For me, I just cry, listen to aimee mann. I don't know how to find the right balance of remembering and forgetting. I hope the best for you.
