i want to get better

    i don't think i have an eating disorder as such
    more disordered eating.
    i've restricted, i've fasted, i've been to the gym 3 times a day for weeks til i collapsed...
    i've binged, i've slept for ages, i've gone without exercise for almost a month...
    i just don't do it right - ever
    and i know it's my fault
    i should just listen to the general advice
    and stick to a 'normal' diet and exercise plan
    but it's always at one end of the spectrum with me.
    i'm either binging so much i can't move, and being sick..
    or i'm fasting and exercising til i literally black out.

    i just want to be normal! :cry:

    I would suggest seeing a therapist or even your doctor. They can help you get on the right path. I'm sure talking to people on here will help you too. You can always come to me if you need to talk.

    i never know about seeing a therapist, i always think there are people who need them more and i don't want to get in the way of that :(

    Hi Laura. I think that when it comes to eating and exercise then balance has to be the best thing. Don't overdo either. As for being normal I'm not really sure what that is. Be yourself. If you think a therapist would be a good idea then go see one. You deserve help as much as anybody else does. Love and best wishes.
