    If You Break It

    “If you break it,
    You take it”
    Some stores
    have such a sign.

    Not mine.

    You sought me out
    upon my shelf,
    hiding in the back.

    You saw my see-through heart
    of crystal glass
and warmed me with your words.

    Then you set me down
    and walked away,
    leaving only secret bruises,
    invisible cracks that lacerated me
    into tattered lace.

    My heart of crystal glass
    Is too transparent -
    it bleeds.

“Damaged goods – Accepting any offer”
    the sign above me reads.

You're not damaged goods, you're tried and true goods. Even more valuable with even more to offer some special person

Hun you arent damaged goods. You are that wonderful little treasure that one finds in the curio shop that brings squeals of delight to the ones that discover you. You are unique and add a splash of color where everything else pales in the sameness of one another. Your sign actually reads Unique and Rare Treasure.... Priceless!
