    Why does she love me?

In a castle set high amongst hills,
My special queen and I live.
Every moment, each jewel of time,
Spent thinking what to the other can give.

    Soul mates together, realities apart,
Like twin angels in Heaven and Hell.
Never have I known a place so nice.
Locked in each other's hearts do we dwell.

When I cry, and weep tears of true loss,
    She holds me...we sob together.
When I feel happy, and need to share my dreams,
We'll kiss in a moment forever.

I'd lose all for her, and she for me.
Love her I, more than I know.
I trust her more than I could a best friend.
She has helped me through so many lows.

Without her, I would know far more pain
Than it is possible to even go through.
With her I can conquer all demons and foes,
For she is my sword and refuge.

It is intimacy, for she owns my soul.
It is not romance, for she is my mother.
It is the kindest care, we are the other's slave.
It is not marriage for I am her brother.

She has taught me how to feel warm inside.
From me she learnt to fall in love.
I helped her to see that peace is within,
And that sharing is not enough.

I devote this poem to my shield and my friend,
A starling from lands far away.
From a distant realm do lovers arrive.
    To there we'll return...some day.

And NO guys, it's not about incest, don't get confused, it's metaphorically/poetically speaking about love, cherishment, honour, protection and guidance. As well as unbreakable bonds. I meant it was 'like' a mother and 'like' a brother, that was the depth of empathy, mollycoddling and trust.

    It's beautiful.

Somewhat what I hope for. But that won't happen.

Wow. It made me tear up. In a good way though.
