I sleep at 5am and wake up at 3pm. How messed up is that? I really want to regain some normality into my sleeping pattern.

Okay hun well you can regain your sleep back, when you go to bed do you drink any coffee or anything that might make you stay awake? And if you have some extra alarm clock around your house you can set them and that might work out for you, i know it did for me.

I was on the same sleep schedule for a while, and it hasn't changed much, so I know how you feel. It doesn't make you a sicko, maybe just depressed. I know it's difficult to change things around. I think the key is to start feeling good about yourself first, and then you'll be able to sleep at night.

I use to sleep from 4am until 4pm. Right now I'm sleeping around 7:30 or 8:00 until 1:00 or 1:30 and it's absolutely killing me. Maybe you can somehow stay awake one entire day and sleep early/on time? Or maybe you can do something big one day and wear yourself out so you sleep sooner? You could do that over a period of time or something? I hope you get your patterns fix though! I know how difficult and irritating it is.

I'm there as well, up till the sun comes up, sleep till the afternoon.
Either have to change my schedule or get something thick to put over the
window, I hate trying to sleep when the sun is up.

I usually sleep from around 5-6 in the morning to 4-6 in the afternoon... sometimes I just don't get up at all and sleep for over 30 hours. The days I get something done, are the days I've just skipped sleeping... intended doing things, today, but I guess I won't... don't feel like skipping sleep, this time... but I don't know; maybe I will... but I feel very depressed, so I probably won't.

I hate being out in the daylight... I prefer sleeping away the daylight hours, so I can be awake in the dark, or darker, hours... I hate sunlight so much. Also, it's far more quiet in the night... I hate it when it's not quiet.

Me too! I naturally fall into that sleeping pattern during the summer time. I just feel more at one with myself during the night time, and sunlight makes me feel overexposed and a little anxious. I did paint all my room black once but it got a bit depressing

I have sleep pattern problems too... You just gotta try and get to sleep at a decent hour and try your best to go to bed around the sametimes most of the time. It's hard for me though I'm a major night owl.

Heh, yes, having it all black, or in dark colours, would be good... :p except for the fact you can't see eventual bugs, then, and being able to see horrible bugs is more important... as such, I prefer very bright colours, instead. :(

Still haven't slept, by the way... haven't even tried, though, but I know I still wouldn't be able to.

EDIT: Hmm... can't seem to get quotes to work. That was in reply to post 8 by ToXiC delight.
