    “In the Face of Death”

    In the face of death
    Your life changes
    For better or worse
    Like a benevolent curse
    Attempting your salvation

    Thought rearranges
    In the rising gloom
    To accommodate
    Impending doom

It’s the key to temporal happiness
    Can’t you accept it?

The final rush of a dying organism
    Is the height of existence
Similar to the zenith of twilight
    Or malachite
    Thrown into the sun

oh let me fly in the face of death
    for another breath
    of life

    ...Decay is salvation

  2. "...Decay is salvation"

It means renewal/reincarnation in the natural world (which we tend to exclude ourselves from). That was a wicked poem

Yeah, FAL, that's pretty much it. I just wish I was dying so that I could feel alive. It would give meaning to all those wasted years.

I have seen that soulfulness emerge many times in ppl who are dying. I think the real work is to acquire that while living...thanks for sharing
