Blinded by darkness, Been gone for so long. Barely existing, Plundering along. Captivated by misery, Floored by the pain. Choked by my thoughts. No longer sane. A prisoner of myself, Never to break free. I cannot be fixed, A forever broken me. From the depths of the abyss, The sun shone bright. Reminded of why, I need to continue the fight. With mountains to climb, And pastures to cross. I remind myself, That all is not lost. I see glimpses of hope, Compassion and kind. The search will begin, In me, I must find. A new uphill battle, It does not discourage. A new found strength, Triumphing over carnage. The world feels warmer, Inner hatred will cease. The journey has begun, To find inner peace.
