    Darkness swirling
    Darkness folding
    In on me

    Light retreating
    Light reciding
    Away from me

    Hate engulfing
    Hate enfolding
    All of me

    Love escaping
    Love dying
    Inside of me

A poem I wrote back in May of 2010 when going through a bout of insomnia. To be honest I'd almost forgotten it even existed, any comments, and feedback(as long as it isn't too negative) are welcome.

Great job on the poem :goodone:

It's deep and has great thought behind it. Short and simple are typically the kind of poems I like. Even though long poems can get the message a cross. Keep writing poems though. :)

My thanks to both of you, your comments are very appreciated. I like this one quite a bit myself although in general my poems tend to be a bit longer. Again thanks to both of you and I definitely won't stop writing any time soon, well at least as long as I'm breathing anyway.
