I've been wondering if anyone here can play any instrument:)

I am playing piano for 8 years, but i never take it serious except in last few months, so i am not a good player. I can hardly play pieces harder than grade 6... Lol i am currently trying to learn Rachmaninov prelude in c sharp minor for grade 8.

But it's such a hard piece that i will need at least 3 months to learn it:)

I play for my soul and to express myself:)

    Any other instrument player here?:)

I used to be able to play the piano and the guitar but i gave that up pretty soon as school needed alot more attention from me. I have been giving thought bout learning it again though, and who knows, maybe i will eventually.

I play the piano and violin

I absolutely love that piece, hurted. Would love to be able to play it...stunning. I might have a go, lol. If I can find the music somewhere

Violin is my main instrument though, did grade 8 a while back. I play to express myself. I find it hard to do so in words, much easier to do so in music. Lol.

Want to learn the guitar. Acoustic, that is.

Thats good. In that case it should be too hard to play it, but it would still be big challenge:)

    8th wonder, thats cool:)

I've been playing the bass in a band for almost a year now. I also play the guitar (8 years), drums (11 years), and a little piano (here and there).

Here's a vid of me and my band with me playing the acoustic guitar riffing on "Puff The Magic Dragon".

you really want to know? nah!! you don't really want to know. sorry,
I mean about ME personally. it's a general question. sort of a group
thing, and before I spoil any joy anyone else may be sharing, I will
    move along, or mosy along..."Bum-ba-dee-da Bum-ba-dee-da Bum-ba-
dee-da" and so on. cowboy movie riding into the sunset music :)

    addios, compaddrees :)

ok, truth or dare....I have a bonfire planned for the fall which
will be inclusive of a grand, actually not all that GRAND of a piano,
several electric geetars...(fender geetars) Fender amps, randall amps,
hi watt amps, PA systems, mike cables, etc etc etc....

I have played the guitar for 41 years. and I just absolutely
HATE it. the thought of ever picking up my guitar again makes me
want to weigh down my pockets with several large heavy rocks and
wade slowly into my cement pond to NAUGHT emerge again.

NAUGHT, naught, not, never, jethro Speak, max baer jr. genius and
and major heavy weight producer etc etc etc...

sorry for my previous deep dark dank negative post

well, there ARE a lot of depressed people here, and I guess I iz one of 'em
hence, occasional gloom and doom caustic remarks.

I am a PROfessional geetar player. I have been playing since I was 10
and I am turning 52 in october. I also play the rest of the essential
6o's and 70's rock intruments for trio or quartet....drums, bass, piano
and I even sing. heh!! (oy....)

I love music, especially music from the great rock bands of the 60's and
70's......but I am really depressed and unhappy with the city I live in
and the direction of 'popular' music in general. maybe I'm just old.
I can live with that. it's a little bit of a taller order to necessarily
be all that enthralled with the idea, but I can live with it.

I rather envy people who are still sort of 'green' in their musical
sojourn, because obviously it is still fun. even if it's not what one does
for a living per se, if it is enjoyable, that's a good thing.

I am much too accomplished and gifted a player to just BAIL and never
play again. but, I don't feel much like playing lately. I'm kinda pissed
off about life in general and the only music I would enjoy playing,
nobody listens to any more. it kinda sucks. it's sort of a lose/lose
scenario all around. or it feels like/seems like/looks like a lose/lose.

maybe if I get undepressed, it will be different. I hope so
