    Invisible Angel

Change baby change, before you lose what you've got
Darlin remember all the things you forgot
Be aware of this chance and dont let it pass
You never know, it could be your last
Dont turn your back on all the good in your life
You'll regret it soon when you're alone late at night
Dont mind me, I dont matter at all
Invisible angel, here to catch you from the fall
Cant you hear the words Im whisperin in your ear?
Doesnt matter where they come from as long as they are here
Get out of bed and look outside
You'll find one bright shining star in the sky
An invisible angel will fly past your door and then
You'll feel it when the wind touches your skin
Dont worry about the tears falling down
I'll dry them all, though you cant see Im around
You might not even remember me
But I'll be with you constantly
Hopin to watch you change baby change
Before you lose what you've got
Remindin you of all the things you forgot
Im here with a love so deep and true
An invisible angel, watching over you

  3. That was Sooooooo BEAUTIFUL!!! No wonder it's still one of your favorites! (Reading it was like music!)

It was immediately eerie, haunting reading it, not only because it was so well-expressed - but reminding me of a poem I'd written for my one-and-only beloved niece years ago when she was quite young, though her life was already full of bitter turmoil...

(I hope you don't mind me sharing...I want to thank you for taking me back!)

    ~ For Brittany Rose ~

    Dearest child!
We are your blessing, and bane,
holding you tightly in our hearts,
yet waiting for the world to take you away

    A fond and cherished memeory
of all the things you were
    You are our hope
    And will be
A signal for our love to grow,
yet never knowing what you will know

Light and laughter, you dearest being...
You are a child, and we the ones who see
what happens when the child lets go
forgetting all good knowledge you now own...
