A person with suicidal ideations, under medication for depression, getting treatment for PTSD working at a mental hospital. Thoughts?

Personally I think the personal experience is an advantage to help the patients but if said person is actively suicidal then maybe it's not worth it to them to be so much exposed to unstable people, every trigger may be there in front of them. So not such a good idea until this person is stable again.
