How to use Your IRS Rebate check...

As you may have heard, each of us will be getting a tax rebate check to stimulate the economy.

If we spend that money at Wal-Mart, all the money will go to China .

If we spend it on gasoline it will go to the Arabs. If we purchase a computer it will go to India .

If we purchase fruits and vegetables it will go to Honduras , and Guatemala . If we purchase a good car it will go to Japan .

If we purchase useless stuff it will go to Taiwan and none of it will help the American economy.

We need to keep that money here in America .

The only way to keep that money here at home is to spend it at...

Yard Sales!!!!

since those are the only businesses left owned by Americans !!

haha Thats a funny way to look at American businesses but i kinda have to disagree.

Walmart is an American business it is still ran out of Arkansas and is the 2nd most charitable company in the world.Yes alot of there products come from China but so does k mart and target and most stores in the world.

Gas uh yeah the money does go to the arabs. They got America but its balls.

Produce in stores during season is 85 domestic product -North America but off season it has to come from south America or it wouldn't be in stores at all.

Uh good cars come from Germany last time i checked but thats just an opinion.

There are alot of American company's that operate and manufacture in America probably more then most people think because the media only points out whenever someone outsources products.which increases American company's profits thus more employees stateside and more tax dollars.

So I say whatever you buy with the money it will go to help the American economy except gas.

Amen here2day!

I am sure that if you look hard enough you could find some lawn fertilizer, maybe a shovel made in America.

It seems to me that for most Americans a big portion of their rebate check will be used to pay off debt.

I wasn't expecting that last line!!

That was grrreat!

Gotta add though, in a 'documentary' called "The Corporation" (available to view all segments online - *free* - if you Google it), one of the investigators had directly asked Wal-Mart about it's "Buy American"..."Made in America" policy, and what actual percentage of their stock was indeed produced in the U.S.

Wal-Mart flat-out refused to disclose that (hmm...wonder why?), and so the investigators went into their stores over several months, "under cover" and checked the tags on their in-store merchandise. Not surprisingly, really, after all the work they did, they found that only 17% of their stock was actually produced there. The rest was ALL imported...

When Iraq was invaded, the new government put in control privatised the national oil companies, which were promptly purchased by american oil companies, so technically, the ~15 trillion dollars worth of oil in iraq is now america's, no doubt you'll benefit from that soon enough ;).

So I went yard saling today and all the stuff on the tables was from China.

lmfao.

*blaaaah*

We take more than we need. We have useless crud laying around our houses, in our closets, in storage sheds we pay to keep things in. we waste natural resources in making usless pastic trinkets and what nots that will eventually clog our lanfills and then seep into our drinking water. just think of all the disposable diapers and plastic bags... geeze....

when are we gonna wake up?

You could always buy something made in Japan, good people for the most part. I'd rather have them become the next world power than China, or Turkey, or anywhere.
