is it ok to drive taking prozac?

    I plan to start taking prozac but i have to drive...

    I know is it not recommended to drive during prozac, but do u have some experience with it??

    how did u feel?

    I haven't actually taken Prozac but the meds I am on do have a driving warning.
    I think it's a very individual thing, you need to see how the drug affects you.
    The drug companies have to put that warning on the drugs.

    Most meds will have some sort of disclaimer on it these days but as Hazel said meds will affect everyone differently.

    Some anti depressants can have a slightly sedating element to them so the accompanying leaflet will usually tell you not to drive if you feel drowsy after taking them.

    I can't remember if Fluoxetine (Prozac) are sedating or not but I was on them last year & was fine to drive.

    If you're concerned talk it over with your doctor but it's pretty much going to depend on how they affect you. There are many more anti depressants that do not contain sedative properties so you could always try one of these instead.
