my answer is simple... i don't have one because i don't belong here. So i guess it would be anywhere else. However, there is 1 place i seem to belong when at this house.... The kitchen. i designed it and did all the work, except install the countertops. Easier to post a pic than it is for me to describe it.

Is the only place where I can walk alone without people looking at me.

I have a little man-cave in my bedroom. I have a small desk with my monitors set up, and a privacy screen so that my monitors are not the first thing you see when looking through the door. I have an IKEA bed, with two of my favorite possessions. There is the heavy blanket from Korea with a giant eastern dragon depicted among clouds. Also, there is my giant teddy bear.

BTW I am not going to put up a picture. Whenever I see my room through a camera, the mess that I ignore is instantly visible. It’s not horrible; I can still walk around, but the chaos of how everything is everywhere with no organization is embarrassing. I’m really struggling to not clutter every horizontal surface in my room with stuff (prescription bottles, mail, etc), but it’s like I am allergic to empty space, so I fill it up with whatever.

By far the bedroom. Not only do I spend a third of my day there snoozin' it is also where I can take one of the laptops and read with it, listen to music or watch TV while snuggled up under covers and staying toasty.

i probably should add the reason i say i don't belong there is that i don't have a space of my own. i sleep on the couch when my son decides to come to the house n do laundry. Otherwise i do temporarily have his bed i use when he is at his girlfriend's place. my stuff is kept in a couple of bags and toted from the Livingroom, laundry room, and my sons room when i am able to be in there for the night.
i belong in the kitchen because that is where i spend most of my time. i love to cook and feed people. So that's where i can get lost in.

The kitchen here is also a favorite, the source of vittles and grub and always a good place to share with other you care about. I do that at times when having family over. Inviting others when they may feel alone is a positive for both you and them.
