It seems you all went and forgot the Cafe on the 10th... for shame people, for shame... and as punishment, you get ME!*hysterical You poor fools!

Well, lets get to the point. Today has some wonderful topics, today we celebrate: "Fat Thursday", "Peppermint Patty Day", "Don't Cry Over Spilt Milk Day", "Get Out Your Guitar Day", "Pro Sports Wives Day", "Satisfied Staying Single Day", "Make A Friend Day" and "White T-Shirt Day"! Thats WHITE T-Shirt day, not Wet T-Shirt day, I know, I wish it was too... but it is Flirting Week if that's any consolation?

Well, I have been a little inactive on the forum the last couple weeks, so today I'm gonna go all out and split this cafe into 3 tables: The Uber Table, the Normal Table, and the Snooze Table! Please find your table and take your seats:

====================================================

Welcome you Uber and Awesome People! We will be focusing on "Get Out Your Guitar Day" and "Make A Friend Day", although you are all so awesome that you can probably do this and head off for more, so feel free to find a seat at another table after you are done here.

Did you know that:
1) Music has a drastic effect on our perception of the world, from it's tempo altering our perception of time to its mood altering our recognition of emotions in others, what music you listen to has a profound effect on the world you see around you.
2) According to data taken from Encycolopedia Metallum and formed into a world map by a happy reddit user, Finland has the most Metal bands per capita in the world at 53.5 Metal bands per 100k people.
3) The British Navy employed a tactic of deploying Britney Spears music to scare off Somali Pirates, and it worked! Britney was chosen as they thought that out of all music ever, Somali Pirates would find the musical styling of Britney Spears the most unpleasant.
4) The world's longest musical performance is currently being played by an automated organ in St. Buchard Church in Germany, and is being played SO SLOWLY that it is due to finish in the year 2640.

Now for Challenge time (No questions for the Uber Table)!
1) Post a musical performance that you yourself made!
2) Find a random person on the forum now that you don't normally interact with and introduce yourself, then invite them here! Lets all make new friends!

Welcome Normies! For you we have a special treat: THE USUAL! We will be taking our inspiration of everything this glorious day has to offer! *bounce

Fun Facts:
1) After a great military victory, Napoleon Bonaparte's chief of staff once organised a rabbit hunt to celebrate, shipping rabbits in by the thousands and setting them loose. Rather than running, the rabbits all charged the "hunters" causing Napoleon to retreat to safety.
2) There has been repeated rumours that natural red-heads are going extinct as the gene causing vivid red hear is recessive, numbers supposedly dwindling with each generation, Luckily for EVERYONE (red hair is awesome) this is false, as you don't need the hair to carry the gene and red hair can reappear in a family even generations later.
3) Hummingbirds come in multiple variants, with the smallest, the "Bee Hummingbird" being only 2.25 inches long on average and often gets mistaken as an insect.
4) In 2005 the Australian government banned the use of the word "Mate" by all staff, this ban lasted 24 hours before being overturned by the Prime Minister himself citing it "essential to our culture".

Question time Normies! Answer if you can :)
1) What mistake did you make in the past that, once made, couldnt be undone, and you just had to live with it?
2) When was the last time you had a YOU day, no one else, just you having a great time in your own company? What did you get up to?
3) When was the last time you made a new friend?
4) When was the last time you tried to play a musical instrument? How did it go?
5) Do you enjoy sports? Which sports? (Crazy sports count and are encouraged)

Welcome people! I know you dozy bunch just want an easy ride and an excuse to say "hey" so I have gone and prepared the easiest table possible. We will be focusing on "White T-Shirt Day" Enjoy!

I bet you didnt know that:
1) The first promotional T-Shirt was made for the Wizard of Oz in 1939.
2) Movie stars such as John Wayne and James Dean popularised the T-Shirt as outer wear, before then it was considered underwear.
3) The Guinness World Record for most T-Shirts worn is 257, weighing in at over 200lb.
4) You would need roughly 56 million T-Shirts to create an unbroken circle of them around the earth.

And now for those SUPER easy White-T-Shirt themed questions:
1) Do you own a white T-Shirt and do you EVER wear it?
2) What is your favourite shade of white T-Shirt? "Whitesmoke"? "Snow"? "Ivory"?
3) Have you ever washed a White T-Shirt with the colour laundry by accident? Did it survive?
4) What is you favourite outfit to go with a White T-Shirt?
5) Is there, in your opinion, ANY article of clothing more boring than a plain white T-Shirt?

====================================================

Well, now that you have all found and enjoyed your tables, I will admit that I spent WAY too long on this so I will just copy paste my invites from my 24th January Cafe and add in a few others from a recent cafe that I missed.
AND REMEMBER: Always be aware of the fact that a group of crows is called a Murder, so don't be caught unaware by their kind.... (Have you ever seen The Birds - 1963 ??)

Thanks for tag, Dante. I will answer some of the questions. You posted a bunch!

Do you enjoy sports? Which sports? (Crazy sports count and are encouraged)

I enjoy watching American football, football, basketball, tennis, and other sports I just can't remember right now.

Is there, in your opinion, ANY article of clothing more boring than a plain white T-Shirt?

Idk about boring, but I HATE men's white tank tops.

Thanks for the tag @Dante
Natural redhead here, at least before I turned mostly gray....now it's sorta auburn with assist.
I heard about 20 years ago that blonds and reds wouldn't make it for another hundred years...glad to hear there's a difference of opinion now
1) I've made several mistakes, that could not be undone....
2) I have too many you days now...haven't figured how to make truly fun since covid has limited so much outdoor activities
3) my definition of friend seems to be different than most nowadays, only a couple now that have known me for decades that live across country ...I have several acquaintances, don't seem to have relationships deepen at this age and stage of life.
I play the organ and bang on the tambourine...drums I tried for awhile....maybe next lifetime on that one.... Tablas and Harmonium I'm ok at and use the most.
I do yoga. And I played golf for years, now I just watch it on tv. Rode horses when I was young and I wouldn't mind having access to that now. I'm an Astros fan.
I love white V neck T-shirts....can't keep one stain free to save my life.
Saw The Birds in the 60's when young, scared the h**l out me and another time as an adult years later....sad story how the actress was made to suffer by HItchcok to obtain several of the scenes they way he wanted

How about a white, wet t-shirt, those show off my hairy like Robin Williams moobs. :)

Most of my t-shirts are anything but white and typically from history or TV or things like that.

1) What mistake did you make in the past that, once made, couldnt be undone, and you just had to live with it?

Not telling the few in my past that I did care about how much and so many are now gone.

2) When was the last time you had a YOU day, no one else, just you having a great time in your own company? What did you get up to?

Pretty much everyday with the lockdown and also that I never got out much or socialized to begin with. I normally don't do too much, I am always too busy doing nothing and enjoying doing just that.

3) When was the last time you made a new friend?

1984 and those 3 were are the only people I count as friends that we did become part of each others lives as opposed to a work or school associate that only saw each other in those activities.

4) When was the last time you tried to play a musical instrument? How did it go?

A few days ago playing the guitar, quite relaxing.

5) Do you enjoy sports? Which sports? (Crazy sports count and are encouraged).

Does foxy boxing count? LOL

I love mud wrestling or 'rasslin' as well as baby oil wrestling but then I have to wash all that crap off of my body. The last thing anybody wants to see is my butt and gut covered in either baby oil or mud.

I never got into team sports and the closet to a sport for me is hunting and fishing but I like keeping a full freezer. Plenty of catfish and bass and I try to get at least one decent sized deer and hog each year. There is no season for hogs so any excess gets processed and donated to local food banks.

2) According to data taken from Encycolopedia Metallum and formed into a world map by a happy reddit user, Finland has the most Metal bands per capita in the world at 53.5 Metal bands per 100k people.
And it's regularly rated as one of the happiest countries on earth. Now I'm not saying those are necessarily related, but...... \m/
They're also very good at making metal

Post a musical performance that you yourself made!
Maybe I'll drop a random flurry of notes in a bit, we'll see lol.

1) What mistake did you make in the past that, once made, couldnt be undone, and you just had to live with it?
Literally everything : )

2) When was the last time you had a YOU day, no one else, just you having a great time in your own company? What did you get up to?
When's the last time I didn't? :D*hiding:(

4) When was the last time you tried to play a musical instrument? How did it go?
A few hours ago, good enough I guess
4) In 2005 the Australian government banned the use of the word "Mate" by all staff, this ban lasted 24 hours before being overturned by the Prime Minister himself citing it "essential to our culture".
Not often I'm proud of this shitty country, but it has it's moments like this

Thanks @Dante for inviting me to always impressive your version café. It’s not even 5am yet so I belong at the snooze table, might be back later when my brain wakes up too.
And I always wondered how I can be the only red head in my entire extended family. *dunno

1) Do you own a white T-Shirt and do you EVER wear it?
I do have one and I sleep in it.

2) What is your favourite shade of white T-Shirt? "Whitesmoke"? "Snow"? "Ivory"?
any warm shade

3) Have you ever washed a White T-Shirt with the colour laundry by accident? Did it survive?
sure, but not by accident. I don’t have any clothes that bleed color except jeans. do they still exist?

4) What is you favourite outfit to go with a White T-Shirt?
pajama pants…or nothing

5) Is there, in your opinion, ANY article of clothing more boring than a plain white T-Shirt?
no

I think I posted the last thread on this forum yesterday but somehow I cannot find it. Yeah, it was another low point of depression and suicidal thoughts. I think I should make a thread like this, in the name of Jim.

====================================================
YBER
====================================================
Nothing, seriously. I did a few school plays. Well, I didn't sing in those plays. I enjoy singing alone to calm myself down, mostly the trendy pop ballad songs.

Is tagging a form of invitation? Or do I have to write something more formal?

====================================================
NORM AL
====================================================

What mistake did you make in the past that, once made, couldnt be undone, and you just had to live with it?
- Going to a mental health clinic, instead of committing suicide. I wasn't treated kindly. I was humiliated and tortured for wanting to die. No diagnosis, just being asked a bunch of questions in a freezing small room. Thanks to this, I have daily suicidal thoughts and a sort of lesser trauma and anxiety when thinking about therapy.

When was the last time you had a YOU day, no one else, just you having a great time in your own company? What did you get up to?
- I once spent an entire day to visit various museums in my city before the pandemics. Not many people visit those places. I had the quietness and a calm atmosphere to check on historical objects and artworks. For a similar reason, I also enjoy libraries and bookstores.

When was the last time you made a new friend?
- More like colleagues, well it was last month, after a conference.

When was the last time you tried to play a musical instrument? How did it go?
- I guess it was 2017 or 2018. I bought a bamboo flute because I didn't have enough for a classic guitar. I gave up after a few Youtube tutorial videos, which is a week or so.

Do you enjoy sports? Which sports? (Crazy sports count and are encouraged)
- I'm not interesting in sports. I used to play football (soccer), volleyball, basketball and this sport called shuttlecock or featherball, which is basically kicking or hitting around (no hand) a small feather thing (like the one used in badminton). This is the national sport or the most popular sport in country, besides football (soccer).

====================================================
XNUZE
====================================================
Do you own a white T-Shirt and do you EVER wear it?
- I used to have a T-shirt from a marathon competition I participated. Unfortunately, it's no longer fit me. Maybe that is the only T-shirt I had. I enjoy wearing polo shirts mostly.

What is your favourite shade of white T-Shirt? "Whitesmoke"? "Snow"? "Ivory"?
- I guess, snow. To be honest, I don't think too much about this.

Have you ever washed a White T-Shirt with the colour laundry by accident? Did it survive?
- Probably, something like that rarely happen to me. If so, having a pink T-shirt is not that bad.

What is you favourite outfit to go with a White T-Shirt?
- A dark-colored pair of jeans (not necessarily blue) and a pair of blue/black & white sneakers.

Is there, in your opinion, ANY article of clothing more boring than a plain white T-Shirt?
- Nothing is boring if you know how to tweak them. I'm not a stylist so I cannot recommend anything.

PS: I like the facts.

1) What mistake did you make in the past that, once made, couldnt be undone, and you just had to live with it? Deciding to live. haha
2) When was the last time you had a YOU day, no one else, just you having a great time in your own company? What did you get up to? Not sure, mostly I don't take time for myself.
3) When was the last time you made a new friend? I don't make new friends too often, I like the friends I have and can trust them.
4) When was the last time you tried to play a musical instrument? How did it go? I haven't tried for a long time...I mean I haven't practiced enough to get good at it.
5) Do you enjoy sports? Which sports? (Crazy sports count and are encouraged) No, not really. lol
