Hello, this is my first cafe so bear with me.

Today is National Dentists day, it's also the National Dress day, National Frozen Food day and National Oreo Cookie Day.

SOURCE

Also lots of people died and born this day. I know none of them.

SOURCE

So, with that in mind, I prepared a few questions for you all.

1) Do you have any experience with dentists worth telling? Perhaps with anestesy?

2) Do you fear dentists? What do you think of the profession?

3) What are your thoughts on dresses? If you don't want to talk about this, then what is your favorite clothing item (men & women)?

4) Frozen food. Danger for the health or a blessing of modern ages?

5) When was the last time you had an oreo, where and with whom?

Hey @SaFa61947 Thanks for the cafe and the invite :D

1) I have mixed experience with dentists so I am very careful about which dentist I go to. The first dentist I went to stabbed me in the cheek with the needle, but then hollowed out my tooth before the aesthetic kicked in and did a shitty job filling it back in again. The aesthetic only kicked in on my way home.

2) I dont fear them, I just dont trust them. When I find a good one then Im happy to visit them, but skill level varies wildly, and I dont currently have one I trust.

3) I think dressed are pretty? Its a clothing item, Im not sure what to say about dresses as without any context just "dresses" is a little too vague.

4) Blessing of the modern age, there is so much food that is sold in portions which arent meant for a single bloke, unless you want to eat the same food several days in a row each time, the ability to make it last without drowning it in salt is a great thing.

5) A REAL original Oreo, a LONG time ago, Im not a fan, but strangely, I love almost every other incarnation of he oreo, be it chocolate covered oreos or oreo icecream.

Anyway, time for some:

thank you for opening the cafe @SaFa61947 you did a great job for your first time. *bravo*stars and thank you @Dante for inviting me.*hug*shake

1. stories : none

2. afraid of dentists and profession : terrified of dentists, and i think it takes a special person to do that every day.

3. feelings on dresses favorite clothing : i really miss the old days when a girl/woman wore a dress to go out to dinner a movie or anyplace nice. and of course the boy/man would have to wear a suit or at least a sport coat. it doesn't seem like people want to dress well anymore. and yes i realize i'm an old fashioned dinosaur.

i love to wear pocket t-shirts. i used to smoke so needed a place for my cigs. i've quit for almost 3 years and i still want the pocket t

4. frozen food health harm or benefit : some of the prepared meals are really bad for you. on the other hand fresh frozen vegetables and berries are a great health benefit. most vegetable would have to be canned or eaten in season. now we can have almost any berry or vegetable year round and is just as good in nutrients as fresh.

5. oreo cookie : actually i shared some with my wife last night.

hugs to all

Oh, yes, I am scared of dentists! I have no problem with surgery, therapy, or any other medical profession, but dentists..... *nerves

I am not even sure why! I used to be ok going when I was a kid. At some point tho, I just started dreading going in to see them.

Anyway, thanks for opening the cafe, @SaFa61947 ! Can I get a latte please?

That's pretty much what I expected. Dresses are pretty, I wish women would use them more. So, I think it's befitting having one day dedicated to this.

4) Blessing of the modern age, there is so much food that is sold in portions which arent meant for a single bloke, unless you want to eat the same food several days in a row each time, the ability to make it last without drowning it in salt is a great thing.
I have a lot of frozen food, I'd be damned if there wouldn't be any. They are not drowning in salt but many of them are processed foods with lots of conservants.

Unfortunately pocket t-shirts are becoming demodé, just the same as it's a sign of the modern times that there are suits for women. Personally I think people should dress like in the 20s and everyone would look nice. I was born in the 80s so I have no reason to feel nostalgic but I do. Also men should wear suits more often and shirts with T-pockets I agree with you on this one. Not only practical but very manly.

That's awesome, for some reason I really liked this answer.

5) When was the last time you had an oreo, where and with whom?
1. Nothing wild, but I fell asleep during a root canal. I have a great dentist.
2. I used to, so bad I wouldn't go even if I was in extreme pain. My first appointment since I was around 15 was last year (I'm 27), and it was the root canal. I cried all the way there, the dentist had to coax me in. I fell asleep during the procedure and didn't feel a thing :D

3. I like dresses - they're just an item of clothing to me. I wear what I want based on if I like how it looks/feels, and not for the benefit of others. I generally prefer the summer kind of dress though, as opposed to the wooly winter ones, just for a personal thing. In winter my fave things are oversized wooly jumpers and fluffy socks heh, which is probs a dress by time I'm done oversizing it actually... : )

4. For someone who cannot cook for shite, it is a blessing :D

5. I tried one for the first time when someone offered me flippantly and I thought it was just a gone off biscuit (cookie), so I haven't had one since I realised that's what they actually were like. It's been over 10 years :D

Going to the dentist can be quite the adventure. Thanks for sharing your story and answers.

1) Do you have any experience with dentists worth telling? Perhaps with anestesy?

I have not being to the dentist in probably more then 20 years *hiding

2) Do you fear dentists? What do you think of the profession?

Who doesn't fear dentists? There is a special place in purgutory for them I would guess

3) What are your thoughts on dresses? If you don't want to talk about this, then what is your favorite clothing item (men & women)?

Dresses are pretty and I like it when my other half wears them. But then again I love whatever my other half wears.

Also my favorite clothing item for men, is definitely a blazer I own a few.
For woman I love it when they wear those big hats, think Audrey Hepburn lol

4) Frozen food. Danger for the health or a blessing of modern ages?

It is both a blessing and a curse. We are in the age of commercialism and we have many many mouths to feed, so the longer food lasts the better .
Though who really likes frozen food???

5) When was the last time you had an oreo, where and with whom?

I do not remember with whom, when it was or why I had it. But I miss them, because I really do love Oreas 😍😍😍

I laughed at this. Indeed, a necessary evil.

I share your opinion on hats but I think I never seen a real woman using this, even though it's on the magazines and stuff. It's sweet how you talk of your spouse, that's the kind of relationship I would like to have one day.

I think no one buys it for the flavor. Very good point.

I love dresses! I don't wear them much now because my job involves more physical activity, and because in a pandemic where would I wear them? But I have a closet full of them. Mostly wrap dresses. I got my first Diane von Fürstenberg a little over a year ago. It was a $400 on sale for $60 in a consignment store. I got wear it once before the pandemic. It's lovely.

I have a dress coming in the mail today too! :)

]1) Do you have any experience with dentists worth telling? Perhaps with anestesy?
Nope no stories to tell.

No, except for the bill.
3) What are your thoughts on dresses? If you don't want to talk about this, then what is your favorite clothing item (men & women)?
I hate dresses and I female. Don't even own one. Give me comfortable pair of pants and a sweat shirt or t-shirt any day.
4) Frozen food. Danger for the health or a blessing of modern ages?

Great if used in moderation. Very bad if used a lot.
5) When was the last time you had an oreo, where and with whom?[/QUOTE]
Its been a while. But was probably by myself.

1) Do you have any experience with dentists worth telling? Perhaps with anestesy?
Unfortunately, no
2) Do you fear dentists? What do you think of the profession?
Nope, I love them actually. Maybe this is because I was too poor to go to dentists when I was a kid, so now it feels like a blessing?
3) What are your thoughts on dresses? If you don't want to talk about this, then what is your favorite clothing item (men & women)?
running shorts, because i'm retired and pants are for suckers.
4) Frozen food. Danger for the health or a blessing of modern ages?

ehhh I think there is worse food for you than frozen foods
5) When was the last time you had an oreo, where and with whom? Maybe a year ago or so? By myself, because reasons.

1) Do you have any experience with dentists worth telling? Perhaps with anestesy?
No real interesting stories
2) Do you fear dentists? What do you think of the profession?
I get anxious depending on what I'm having done. Last time I went I got 2 teeth extracted, but it wasn't as bad as I expected.
3) What are your thoughts on dresses? If you don't want to talk about this, then what is your favorite clothing item (men & women)?
Dresses are pretty. Sometimes I wish it was more acceptable in society for men to wear dresses because it might be fun to do that every once in a while. Sometimes at night I will have a dream involving me in a skirt. I haven't worn one in forever. Since before my transition even. I didn't mind so much as a kid, but as I grew older I started avoiding wearing "girly" clothes as much as I could, but sometimes my parents still made me wear dresses/skirts to church or to fancier events. Even if it pissed me off. So I guess my feelings are a little complicated.
Personally I love to wear my soccer jerseys. They're fun to collect, too, since the team releases new designs for every season. The only problem is how expensive they are, but it's cheaper than hockey jerseys I guess.
4) Frozen food. Danger for the health or a blessing of modern ages?
It's probably not the best for me, but I hate cooking so I buy a lot of it. Especially from Trader Joe's :)
5) When was the last time you had an oreo, where and with whom?
I don't really remember the last time I just straight up ate Oreos. It's definitely been at least a few months. My roommate and I used to buy them when we went grocery shopping at Walmart, but we haven't been doing that lately. Today I did, however, get a slice of cookies and cream cheesecake from the grocery store that had pieces of Oreo (or a similar cookie, if not actual Oreo brand) in the whipped cream on top. I just ate it in my bedroom by myself.

When men wear dresses if they are not crossdressing it is viewed as a joke. I guess for regular stuff it's really not accepted in society, you got that right.

1) Do you have any experience with dentists worth telling? Perhaps with anestesy?
Nothing really worth telling, apart from someone actually asking me once to extract a tooth for them.

2) Do you fear dentists? What do you think of the profession?
As long as they are adequately stocked with anaesthetics and they don't ask, "is it safe?" then I have nothing to worry about.

3) What are your thoughts on dresses? If you don't want to talk about this, then what is your favorite clothing item (men & women)?
As long as it wears well on the person....

4) Frozen food. Danger for the health or a blessing of modern ages?
Depends what's been frozen

5) When was the last time you had an oreo, where and with whom?
Never had one, and considering one guy at work is known as "oreo" for reasons which I will not go into, it's unlikely that I ever will.
