Hello SF family. I hope this crazy season finds you well.

Today I wanted to learn about... pickles!

Thats right, pickles! I made a pickle tray for the apartment Christmas party and it was a success.

Do you like pickles?
What types of pickles do you like?

I like regular cucumber type pickles, dill and kosher.
I also like sweet pickles, and homemade bread and butter pickles.
Pickled beets are good.
I also like olives (do they count as pickled)?
Two that are popular here in the Southern US is pickled okra and pickled asparagus, I'm not a fan of those.

Cool cafe, thanks for posting it Angie :) Hope I’m not replying to it too “quickly” or anything like that, lol. Really did just happen to randomly come on and noticed it had been posted (I check daily, usually, lol) so thought I’d come in and reply. Will do some tags after too ;)

Yup, I like pickles.
Really only like the dill pickles. Used to like the sweet ones, but not anymore.

Oh. Oh no.
No no no no no.
I can feel it bubbling up inside me.
I can't contain it, i have to-
:D

Serious answer though, nah, i don't like pickles. Cucumbers make me gag if i try to eat them, and pickles are usually just sour cucumbers, so it's a no go for me.
I've tried a few other things that have been pickled, but for some reason the fact that it's something that originally wasn't meant to be sour having been made sour makes it gross to my palate.

Thanks for opening @Angie and @JMG for tagging. I like dill pickles. I just gave a gag Yankee swap ( white elephant gift) of 2 bags of mixes for making pickles and a bottle of pickle juice or soda. It didn’t become the gift that got passed around though. I was a little bit disappointed but then I didn’t end up with it.
I am spending a busy day with my daughter and her family today. No pickles today.

Thanks for the tag @JMG
I love pickles! I like all kinds, but my favorite are sweet pickles and bread and butter pickles. And relish is one of my favorite hot dog toppings, as long as it's sweet relish. I get so mad when I order relish on something and it turns out to be sour relish.

Thank you for opening Angie and tags @cymbele @JMG & @KM76710.

Yes, pickles are very good, the garlickyer the better. A store just opened near me just for pickles in fact, haven't checked it out though.
I like the stand at the farmers market too where he sells all kinds. The hot 🔥 pickles are off the chart but yummy if you like heat. I also like the sweet gherkins, and basically anything marinated. This brought back a memory of my mother and how she put out a tray of pickles and olives on the holidays, thank you for that.

I for some reason love just about any vegetable pickled. I like the spicy dill pickles, and also other veggies that are pickled, usually in Japanese, or Korean cuisine. Kim Chee is pickled fermented cabbage, and sauerkraut is a different type of the same thing. I don’t know the names of all the pickled vegetables that I get as condiments at the Korean BBQ restaurant, but I sure like them. Japanese food has pickled radish, and ginger. Also a few more veggies that I can’t name.
