A warm welcome to the June healthy lifestyle thread.

How did everyone get on last month? I'm happy to report I lost a good few pounds through hard work food-wise and light exercise. I've definitely had my fair share of treats too. I would like to lose more this month too. Bear in mind this thread is not just for weight loss but rather being healthy and even if you want to gain weight.

Please post your updates so we can continue to encourage each other and spur each other on.

Good luck this month.

Last month, despite the RUTI’s and kidney infections, I’ve been maintaining what I eat to prevent risk from diabetes - Pretty impressive, I must say consider how many UTI’s I get it. I’m happy, I’m free from infections and side effects now.
This month, I’m waiting for the lockdown to be off so I can walk/cycle a lot ^^

Got goals to drop few pounds. Maybe 4-5 would be good. Getting my basement back together and organized for some weight training sessions. Continue to drink at least a cup of just water a day.

@britishbloke this thread might suit you too, well done on the 20 miles cycled today *stars that's serious motivation right there.
I was up at like half 4 or something, my dad goes "do you wanna go for a cycle?"... The man dragged me round an 18 mile one the other day, I forgot how much I hate cardio... :D but I need it... I've put on a fair bit of weight since the lockdown started!! But thank you!! *hug

Crikey! A nice place to get a tan... Or have a barbie and a few stubbies me ol' cobber! *rofl a walk is good though! I found my lifestyle before furlough was very active! When furlough came I became a sloth aside from lifting weights :D plus it can help the mood if you live somewhere with nice scenery :)!

Tysm for thinking of me & tagging me to come here @BlackOpium I really appreciate the support with this subject very much cos I was doing quite well with it (overall) from Jan-March but then once the c...oops guess we aren't supposed to talk about it I almost forgot...the thing that I'm sure everyone knows what I mean happened in March then I haven't been nearly so good or disciplined about it. Haven't been buying chocolate as much or eating it as much, been a bit better over the last couple weeks about at least doing walking but having a hard time motivating myself to do the jogging. I definitely have to just make myself.
Will be doing a pretty long walk today so that should be good.
Congrats on losing some weight too that's really great I'm very happy for you! :) I need to drop at least 40+ pounds but at least I have managed to not gain any more over the last couple weeks.

Doing fine here, weight and all blood counts and vital signs good, but... that damn beer gut of mine. LOL Must be from my younger days, with men it seems to be the gut while with women is may be hips and thighs. LOL I have been told those are the last things to disappear so I am still hopeful. :)

Wanted ice cream but hey fates stopped me dead cold in my tracks. Not available to be delivered.

Score one for healthier me. I swear I felt myself jiggle like a jello when I was walking the other day. Time to look at my calorie intake as doc said to cut out 100 calories a day 🙄 then PT said for me to sit up straight due to my back issue now.

Now back to the drawing board to start bringing meals to work. And not become lazy and order food to be delivered

Walking 3 laps around the building nowadays during breaks to get some steps in.
