    Gaze through the kaleidoscope
    A child of 5, a dazzling experience
Life was so great back then,
    so new, exciting and strange
It is uncanny how a perspective can change

    Blink

    A prepubescent kid
With a great ambition and vision
    Regrettably crummy vision
    Wielding spectacles, glass frames
He sees the world with a clarity
    As if its new
All the flaws and exquisite beauty
He see his red face, full of pimples

    Blink

A young man on the dance floor
    Work party, its quite bumping
    Feeling unsure, the unexpected happens
    A alluring young maiden welcomes
Via body language, he is accepted
A monumental shift in his understanding of life
    His eyes are open

    Blink

Mindlessly wandering the desert of life
    Endless introspection, he sleeps
    He sleeps the deep sleep
    And dreams the dream
    Roaming the dreamscape
His subconscious nearly screams at him
Begging him to open his eyes
    "Stop wasting time"
    "Quit being afraid"
    "Ask that girl out"
    "Do something"

    Blink

    He wakes, feeling oddly alarmed
    Bursting out of bed
    He grabs a pen,
    recalling what the dream said
But it fades, from his mind again
Like everyday, his passion is dead
